New Head Coach Doug Sage led the Rangers back onto the field this past Wednesday against Muhlenberg. The Drew team was looking to follow up their first win against Centenary College. However, the Muhlenberg Mules had other plans as they came away with the 8-4 victory, handing Drew its fourth loss of the season.
The Mules took the lead early as they scored 5 goals in the first quarter and were able to hold Drew to only one goal through the first 3 quarters of the game. It wasn’t until the last period of play where the Rangers were able to find the back of the net three times with Seamus O’Connor (‘20) scoring twice, that Drew was able to show some life against the Mules.
Looking ahead the Rangers have their last game before Conference play starts against Swarthmore College this Saturday at Ranger Stadium. This will be a tough final test for the Ranger’s squad as Swarthmore has been able to put together a record of 4-1 through the early part of their season. Hopefully, Doug Sage and his inherited Ranger team can turn it around before their Landmark Conference season starts on the road at the Catholic University of America next Saturday.
