The Drew University field hockey team concluded its 2017 season at Goucher College on Saturday, October 28. The Rangers dropped a 5-0 decision to the Gophers, who led 2-0 at halftime and extended their lead as the match progressed.
Goalkeeper Ryann Callaghan (’19) recorded 10 saves, while Joie Slossar (’21) added another save to the tally. Additionally, the Rangers made five attempted shots, but were unable to sneak one past the Gophers’ goalkeeper.
This match marked the final game in the careers of Madi Sheetz (’18), who led the Rangers in scoring this season, and Michele Pozyc (’18), who holds the title of the all-time leader in defensive saves, with 51 to her name.
