With classes in full swing, it can be easy to forget to make it to the gym most days. If you are looking for a team to join, club sports have begun practicing! Club sports are beginning their practices and all are looking for new members. The newly-formed step team is beginning practice Monday at 8pm in the upper dance studio; they practice there on Mondays and Thursdays from 8-9pm.
Club volleyball is also in full swing, practicing Tuesday through Thursday from 8-9:30pm. In order to be a part of the team, you have to go to practices two out of the three days each week. Club soccer also holds practices in the gym several nights a week from 7-9pm.
The rugby teams are also looking for men and women to join their teams, as their practices are beginning soon. If you are interested in joining the men’s rugby team, email Nathan Keiller (‘18) at NKeiller@drew.edu. The team practices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you are interested in joining the women’s rugby team, contact Alexa Young (‘18) at AYoung1@drew.edu. Other club sports that Drew offers are Pep Band, the Rangerettes Dance team, Ultimate Frisbee and Drew Unified Sports. Drew Outdoor Recreation Club (DORC) is also looking for people to fill their leadership positions.
Looking for less of a commitment? Intramural sport registration is also open, and this fall Campus Rec is offering intramural soccer and intramural dodgeball. Games are held Sunday evenings. Signups are available at drew.edu/campusrec. Free fitness class registration is also open, with classes beginning the week of September 11.
