Following their successful 10-5-3 season, the Drew University men’s soccer team has been selected to be a part of the 2016 ECAC Division III Championship.

The Rangers are taking part in history as this fall marks the first season under the ECAC’s new postseason format. For the first time, only a single ECAC champion will be crowned, rather than multiple regional champions.

Drew holds the number two seed in Region One and will face number three seed New York University in the opening round this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden for a spot in the quarterfinals the next day. The championship game will then take place on Sunday, Nov. 20.

Additionally, standout forward Andy Imoh (’20) was voted Drew’s third ever Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year and joined teammates Dylan Hammer (’17) and Fil Goncalves (’18) on the 2016 All-Conference teams.

Imoh made First Team following his rookie breakout season. He led the Rangers in point scoring with eight goals and three assists, ranking third in the conference for goal scoring and forth for total points.
