In-Person Fall 2021 Semester

1 min read

The University has announced their plans for a fully in-person fall 2021 semester. While some students returned back to campus for a modified semester this spring, President Schwarz, in an email to the Drew community, said, “We are hopeful and actively planning for a return this fall to a more traditional on-campus experience.”

Schwarz stated the community’s ongoing commitment and participation in keeping our campus safe this spring semester has developed an optimistic view of returning fully in-person in the fall. He believes that the fall semester will allow “robust, in-person academic, research, living, and learning opportunities.”

Schwarz urges all to get their vaccines as soon as they are eligible. “Having as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible is our best defense against the virus and gives us the greatest chance for a normal fall semester,” said Schwarz. As of this Monday, April 19, new eligibility rules issued by the New Jersey Department of Health will open up vaccinations in the state to everyone over the age of 16.

Additional details on plans for the fall 2021 semester will be shared over the coming months.
