Coach Darryl Keckler and the Drew men’s basketball team had their seven game winning streak snapped yesterday at the hands of conference rival Scranton. The Rangers have been putting together a great season so far, compiling an overall 13-5 record with this last loss to Scranton being their only one in conference. With their early season hot streak, and strong play from returning contributors Riley Collins (C’20), Yonathan Napoleon (C’18) and Nate Aldrich (C’19), this team is primed for a run at the Landmark Championship and beyond.
With seven conference games left on the schedule, Drew sits atop the standings leading both Catholic and Scranton by exactly one game. With Juniata holding down the fourth seed with a current record of 4-3, it certainly seems as though playoff basketball is in the future for this Ranger team.
The Rangers look to get back on track as they go on the road to play the winless Goucher Gophers. After a hard fought game against Scranton, Goucher should offer an easy first win to what Coach Keckler and the Ranger fan base hopes is another long winning streak.
