Field Hockey Drops Contest Against Top-Ranked Scranton

The Drew field hockey team traveled to Huntington, PA to take on the Juniata Eagles on Saturday, October 7 for a Landmark Conference evening matchup. They fell to the Eagles 8-0. In her second career start in the Rangers’ goal, Joie Slossar (‘21) registered a pair of saves. Kate Todero (‘19) also added a defensive save to the stat sheet.

The Rangers completed their three game Pennsylvania road trip on Wednesday, October 11 at undefeated Scranton. Ryann Callaghan (‘19) returned from injury to the net for the Rangers. Despite Callaghan’s 14 saves, the Rangers dropped the contest 5-0. Mackenzie Hascup (‘20) tallied a defensive save. Meanwhile, the Rangers offense was at work as Madi Sheetz (‘18), Camryn Koch (‘21), Madyson Griswold (‘20) and Sami Strathern (‘20) all registered a shot.

Field hockey begins a three game homestead this Saturday, October 14 in a Landmark Conference game against the Susquehanna River Hawks at 1 p.m. The team will continue their collection of donations to benefit Vs. Cancer and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation for the remaining three home games.
