Ever since dropping a conference game to the University of Scranton, Drew’s men’s basketball team has gone on to a two game winning streak. Those games included two huge wins against conference rivals, Goucher College and Elizabethtown College. The team has now improved to two games over 500, their record currently stands at 11 wins and nine losses.

The team traveled to Goucher to take on the Gophers. The Rangers got off to a hot offensive start as the scored 36 points in the first half, which was followed by 28 in the second half. Drew allowed Goucher 33 points in the first half and 27 points in the second. Drew might have given up a lot of points but made up for it with high production offense. Nate Aldrich (’19), Riley Collins (’20), Chatham Studer (’19) and Yonathan Napoleon (’18) all scored in the double digits for the Rangers with Aldrich being the highest scorer for the team with 17 points. Drew would eventually defeat Goucher by a score of 64 to 60.

The Rangers then traveled on home back to Madison to take on Conference foe, Elizabethtown College. The team was looking for the sweep as they faced Elizabethtown for the second time this year beating them back in Penn. in January. Drew jumped out to yet again another high offensive advantage by scoring 42 to Elizabethtown’s 37. In the second half the team put up 40 points again to finally put away Elizabethtown by a final score of 82 to 64. The Rangers were led by Darius Reiter (’19), Collins, and Napoleon who all scored in double digits. Reiter led the team with 20 points followed by Collins’ 18 point effort and Napoleon’s 15 point night.

The Rangers will look to take down conference champions, Catholic University Saturday in the Forum at 4 p.m. Drew closes out their season with five Landmark Conference opponents which will consist of two on the road against Susquehanna and Scranton University. In addition they will have three more home games, which include Catholic, Moravian, and Juanita University.
