With the start of the new semester, the Concert Hall is back to its bustling concert schedule. This season there are a variety of concerts that are not to be missed. The Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society continues their residency here for the 10th season with two more concerts that promise to be enjoyable. Spring also means recital season, so in addition to regular student ensemble concerts, you can support talented Drew seniors as they demonstrate all they’ve learned during their time at Drew.

This year’s Mellon Artist in Residence is composer Julia Woolfe, Pulitzer Prize winner and MacArthur Genius Grant recipient. Woolfe and her ensemble Bang on a Can will surely bring some excitement to Drew with their concerts this spring. Want a sneak peek? Check out her song Steel Hammer for which she won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize.

Next weekend make sure to head to the Concert Hall for the popular “Back to Classes” Concert. See what all the acapella groups have been singing on their winter tours and hear what they’ve got in store for everyone in the coming semester. This concert will also give each group an opportunity to show off their new members. Want to be part of acapella? Be sure to audition! 36 Madison Avenue will be holding auditions on January 28th at 6pm in EC 145. All of the Above will be holding auditions on January 29th at 7:30pm in McLendon Main Lounge. On a Different Note will be holding auditions on January 28th at 2pm in EC 109.
