Reusable mugs: living the mug life in the Forest

1 min read

Did you know that Drew has special discounts for coffee and tea if you bring your Drew mug or any other reusable mug to Peet’s Café and Starbucks?

Did you know, in the US alone, about 58 billion paper cups are thrown away (not recycled) every year?

In order to keep drinks warm and hot, manufacturers use plastic or wax to prevent the paper cup from dissolving into mush. Therefore, paper cups cannot be recycled or composted in some places.

Do you want to know how you can contribute to a healthy environment?

A great and very easy way is by converting your habit from using paper cups to a reusable mug. A reusable cup keeps your coffee or tea warm for a longer time than a paper cup and it also tastes better to drink in a reusable mug than plastic cups.

So join THE MUG LIFE and contribute to having a healthier environment that positively affects everyone’s health and life.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your Drew EcoReps or to me, Bahara Mohammadi to bmohammadi@drew.edu.
