Concert Hall Column: September 23

By Caitlin Shannon

Each year, the Concert Hall invites professional musicians who have recorded in our hall to give a concert with the da Camera concert series. To start off this year’s series is the Aureole Trio.

Laura Gilbert, Mary Hammann and Stacey Shames bring together flute, viola and harp for a peaceful and serene sound.  They consolidate the entire orchestral palette into its essential components and achieve a variety of sounds and tone colors. Despite backgrounds in classical music the trio plays in a variety of styles such as Celtic, Latin, or Indian.

This special concert opportunity is not to be missed, so be sure to be at the Concert Hall on Sat. Oct. 1 at 8 p.m.  General admission is $30, but Drew students can get $10 tickets with their Drew ID.
