On the night of Dec. 1, students gathered in McLendon Lounge for a “Thank You for the Music” Mama Mia-themed event hosted by HerPath. The event ran from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Everyone in attendance was invited to take a sandwich, bags of chips and pieces of candy while they put crafts together. The primary craft at the event was decorating their very own gratitude jars. HerPath provided supplies such as glass jars, stickers, stick-on gems and paint markers. Attendees could also write affirmations or daily gratitudes on paper to put into the jars.

After working on their gratitude jars for a bit, everyone was invited to compete in two rounds of Kahoot. The questions in the Kahoot included trivia about important women in history and their contributions to society, as well as some “Mamma Mia!” themed questions sprinkled throughout. The winners could select a prize, including a gratitude journal or mystery prize.

Music from “Mamma Mia!” was also played during the event, truly setting the theme for an enjoyable and relaxing event to help students have fun with their peers and destress during the last week of classes.

When asked about what inspired HerPath to host this event, co-president Nadia Porchetta (‘26) said, “Typically, our club is more business-oriented, so having a good balance of a fun event like this would be perfect for around this time with finals and everything. I also love ABBA and Mamma Mia so much.”

Even though the semester is coming to a close, HerPath will be hosting events next semester. Be sure to follow @herpathdrew on Instagram to stay up to date on their upcoming events.
